jammerBig sound difference, I like, but what will drilling and removing the resonators do? Deeper, louder?
CWatsonJrYES

It will also enunciate the popping sound when you let off the gas when in auto stick... what is that called talk back?

Even with the resonators removed, it is still quiet when cruising... but when you step on it !!

Heck... I am not a car guy.. I am just a guy with a car

DUSTIAbsolutely Jammer,
I have done the same thing - got the SSS muffler from Jay and thought: "WOW - pretty good" but wasn't just 'blown away' by it so I got some tips, pretty similar in style and size to the stock tips, but without the 'baffles' and the sound is AWESOME - mellow when cruising but once you kick it into AutoStick and over 3k rpm - W O W !!

jammerDustis, where did you get your tips and what size did you get. I would like to stay chrome and no resonators in them, but larger outside dia. and thicker ends. Cut myself evert time I wash on the stock. thanks
DUSTIJammer,
I was looking for quite a while for the 'perfect' tips !
I had the 'Borla' tips in mind but I didn't like their overall appearance as well as their price !

So I went to my local muffler shop and picked me out a very nice pair of 'rolled' tips - 4" dia. stainless steel (not chrome but just as nice)

I always liked the 'cat symbol' on the Borlas so I went ahead and had a stencil made with the prowling cat, taped it on the tips, covering the surrounding exposed area of the tip and sprayed the 'cat' with high temperature paint........and that's what it looks like - personally I like it better than the borla because it's not as 'thick' in apprearance as the Borla tips as well as the width avantage compared to the Borla's .
Let me know if I can be of any further help...........Dusti

cmblockhusthat looks really sharp, I like the way you put the cat on yourself.

block-buster

butchceeLooks nice.

DUSTIThanks BuddyC - Got' em ! The picture is about 5 weeks old, since then I added rear mudflaps, chrome headrest covers and the Shimmers catwings for the 'trunk'
DUSTI
ed monahanThe pictures do not do his tips justice. They look much better in person than in those pictures.
Kevin ANice tips Dustis. However, I am looking into a pair of these for my Kat.
.
DUSTI

Very subtle - makes probably even the 1.4l V4 sound like V8, don't you think ?

Black Tie 161LMAO...Now THAT'S a fart pipe! That pic kills me.

Now pull out those baffles jammer! Just drill out the 2 rivets, or do what Dustis did which looks really cool.
